Liberty Hill Baptist Church - Ethridge was founded in 1904. The church served the Liberty Hill and Ethridge communities in its original structure until 1957. At that time, the congregation bought the former Liberty Hill School building from the Giles County Board of Education for $1,375. The church was devastated by a tornado in 2008 and later rebuilt in the same location on Rhea Branch Road, where it continues to serve the Liberty Hill community.
